Michael A. Wasserman, Esq. is a Civil Trial Attorney with the Litigation Department at the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, P.A.
Having spent nearly the entirety of his 25+ year career as a trial attorney, Mr. Wasserman brings to LOCG decades of experience litigating complex personal injury cases throughout the state of Florida. He’s tried and won cases for his clients involving several automobile injuries, wrongful death, premises liability, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse & neglect. Since 1994, Mr. Wasserman has been admitted to practice law in every district court in the state, including the Florida Supreme Court.
As a former criminal defense attorney, Mr. Wasserman has over 50 jury trials and 100 trials in total, including bench trials in juvenile court early in his career.
Mr. Wasserman began his career as a trial consultant before moving to the courtroom himself as a Public Defender in Tallahassee and Miami for almost a decade, representing indigent clients from first appearance right through jury trial.
For a brief time, Mr. Wasserman worked for insurance defense, litigating on behalf of insurers cases involving tort defense, first party property damages, and employment discrimination, but soon decided to transition his litigation skills to go to work on behalf of plaintiffs.
From 2004 to 2019, Mr. Wasserman dedicated his life to working hard for the injured as a shareholder in a personal injury firm, but his real passion has always been litigation.
Mr. Wasserman says he went to law school to be a Public Defender and fight for justice and equality for all. Now, he brings that fighting spirit to our litigation clients of LOCG.
In addition to his legal work, Mr. Wasserman served as the former Chairman of the Lawyer Referral Services Committee for The Florida Bar, serves on several community and legal-focused non-profits and associations.
Mr. Wasserman has also served on the Florida Bar Special Committee on Lawyer Referral Services formed in 2011, has dedicated many hours to mentorship for law students through the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation, and has participated in pro bono programs across Dade County.
