Are You One Of Our #AttorneysWhoAlly?
Join LOCG as we take a bold stand for equality in the legal profession.
At LOCG, we pride ourselves on inclusivity, opportunity, and equality for our clients, our staff, and the legal profession as a whole. We’ve made that commitment for many years, but we don’t just “talk the talk” – we walk it, too.
That’s why for Pride Month 2021, we’re partnering with LGBTQIA organizations locally and around the country to lead the way encouraging other attorneys and law firms to pledge to become a “Straight Ally” in your community.
Simply put, a Straight Ally is a commitment to support and promote equal civil rights, gender quality, and LBGT social movements, and take a stand against homophobia and transphobia. Any Ally acknowledges that members of this community suffer discrimination and as a result, can be socially disadvantaged. An Ally thus pledges to use their position and advantage to counter discriminations.
Ready to take a stand?
It all begins with making a pledge to become a Straight Ally. You can use the form below. When you do, you’ll receive some educational and promotional materials, as well as tools and resources you can use to better understand the issues facing the community today. We’ll also send you a Straight Ally tabletop flag you can proudly display in your office, and share online to further promote awareness and engagement with the hashtag #AttorneysWhoAlly!
Step #1
Make the Pledge
Use the form below to pledge to become a Straight Ally for the LBGBTQIA community alongside LOCG. We recommend encouraging the partners and leadership team of your firm to join, and any staff who may feel inspired.
Step #2
Commit To Training
Many LGBTQIA organizations around the country offer LGBT & Gender Competency Training to companies, organizations, and businesses across the country! Compass of Palm Beach County is one such organization. LOCG did it, and you should, too!
Step #3
Share & Encourage
Help us spread this campaign of awareness, education, and training to other lawyers and legal professionals across the nation! We’ll send you a Straight Ally flag you can snap and share photos of with your staff to post on social with our hashtag #AttorneysWhoAlly!
