A Wednesday night crash in Jupiter sadly left two people dead and another two injured after a motorcycle collided with a Toyota. Officials say the accident happened Wednesday night on Randolph Siding Road, just west of Jupiter Farms Park. \u00a0Investigators report that the driver of a Toyota Sienna was making a left turn into a driveway, and a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed hit the side of the Toyota. Charlotte Carver, an 11-year-old passenger in the Toyota, died of her injuries in the crash. The motorcycle driver, 32-year-old Matthew Vetter, was also pronounced dead at the scene. The Toyota's driver, 43-year-old Leah Carver, and Charlotte Carver's 15-year-old sister were taken to a local hospital with injuries. The Carver family told local media they were on their way home from a dance class that Charlotte attended several times a week. Her father, Allen Carver, called dancing her "life's passion," and also said the sisters were best friends. Although Florida has one of the lowest rates of speed-related crashes in the country, speeding-related wrecks still make up about ten percent of all traffic fatalities in the state, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Speeding decreases a driver's reaction time and increases the amount of time needed to stop, making crashes more likely.
