Hoops4Heroes 2017 Raises $2,600 for Local Veterans in Need

For the third year in a row, the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb organized and sponsored our annual Hoops4Heroes 3ON3 Basketball Tournament at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL. The tournament took place on Saturday, March 25th, 2017.

100% of the proceeds raised by the tournament were donated to Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, a local non-profit run by Executive Director Mike Durkee. Mike is a post-9/11 U.S. Army combat veteran who now leads the local organization.

WVRF provides financial and other resources to returning soldiers and their families who may be in emergency need due to injuries, joblessness, or mental health afflictions.

Hoops4Heroes 2017 raised more than $2,600 for the organization, the bulk of which came from our players and donors. Since 2014, Hoops4Heroes has raised nearly $10,000 for wounded veterans.

Big thanks are in order for Craig Goldenfarb and the marketing department at LOCG for organizing the tournament; Mike Durkee of WVRF; ReggieDee of Alpha Media for Emceeing the event; Palm Beach Atlantic University and the women’s basketball team for volunteering; and of course, all of our new and returning basketball players.
